The-Growing Room: Counselling and Psychotherapy
Breathe. See. Grow.
Our mission
To enable access to support for young people and adults alike.
An integrative approach in a calm and safe therapeutic space
that values and prizes each individual.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with experience in a range of contexts from a cancer care facility to high schools. Having taught in secondary schools previously, for over a decade, I work with clients aged 12 and over.
As a mother to two beautiful girls, I understand the challenges parenting can bring and combined with my teaching background, have a wealth of experience working with parents, school staff and young people.

How can we help?
Here at The Growing Room we have over a decade of experience in schools across the North West and so have first hand experience of what it means, how it feels and what it takes to teach.
Using our experience and knowledge, we can support staff of all levels from TAs to SLT to find space to discuss issues such as: conflict resolution, recurring themes, anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, stress, depression, prioritising and much more.
With Master’s level understanding of Psychotherapy we go above and beyond a listening service and can also support staff to manage personal and professional issues that may be playing out at work to support maximising their working efficiency. We offer a flexible service that can fit into and around the demands of school by being able to work over the phone, online or face to face in our bespoke private practice in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire.
